Meet the Executives

The Association is governed by its members who elect a Board of Directors consisting of eleven officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer and six Trustees. The executive board is elected to office for one year. Its members can serve in the same office for a maximum of two consecutive terms.

Each member of the Board of Trustees serves a term of three years. The 11-member Board manages the Association and adopts policies and procedures for its benefit.

Code of Ethics

AS A MEMBER of the Guyana Association of Georgia Executive Board and Chairpersons, I pledge myself to:

  • Maintain the highest standard of personal conduct
  • Attend meetings regularly and punctually. Support all projects
  • Promote and encourage the highest level of ethics within the Association
  • Maintain loyalty to the Association
  • Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information entrusted or known to me by virtue of my office
  • Recognize and discharge my responsibility and that of the Association to uphold all the laws and regulations relating to the Association's policies and activities
  • Strive for excellence in all aspects of management of the Association
  • Refuse to engage in, or countenance, activities for personal gain at the expense of the Association
  • Cooperate in every reasonable and proper way with other association executives, and work with them in the advancement/recognition of the Caribbean Community
